If the heavy rain comes the water flows out of the gutter

The reconstruction was made but still the problem was there They will shape the roof by reducing the length of iron sheets to fit the fisherboard with gutters

The community came to visit the project and they were thankful for the project. Students are happy to have access of clean and safe water for school sanitation practices There was a close and good corporation between the school, community and leaders during the construction

The delay of project implementation due to less community participation The rain water harvesting tank Construction moved to another village due to the community delay on providing local contribution (labor) Communication barrier between the community and leaders They weren't aware on what they were supposed to do.

The community need to be well informed by their leaders about any activity

The community recognized about the communication barrier and they promised to change. They will call for the meeting to address the issue There's a need for leadership to change the way of acting and to accept for their responsibilities

The school recognized that there is a need for the roof for other classes to be painted as SHIPO did for one. Fund for the school is a challenge

Community participation was slow at the beginning

The community came to realize that they are supposed to participate through LGA and SHIPO mobilization

The community of Nansama is happy for this project. It will help their children for to improve the access clean and safe water for WASH purposes Their toilets are a challenge There's are 4 holes for boys and 8 holes for girls but all are not safe for them to use

Labor support was a challenge, it was difficult to get community members to help the work since the village had no VEO to organise them

Currently there's a new VEO started to work today Hopefully the community members will be organized differently to improve their participation

Participatory approach spirit from SHIPO will help in changing people's lifestyle to engage on development programs There's a need to enforce the sense of ownership to the Communities to understand that, the projects belongs to the communities not for implementing organization The project will improve the access to clean and safe water for school sanitation School is in need of latrines improvement to be able to meet up for sanitary requirements. The water flow rate inside the tank is very low because of the gutter level

Follow up on the flowing rate to help the water getting inside the tank

The school leaders appreciated for the project There is a good corporation between the school leaders, committee and LGAs Sanitation tools for the school uses such as buckets were used during construction. The school demand to replace the buckets to help students improvement on sanitation practices

At the beginning the community didn't know their responsibilities during the introduction and implementation of the project

Later the community were informed and became aware of the project and their responsibilities They participated fully through providing/collection of local material such as water and construction helpers (labor)

The community is thankful for the project Students' morals for school attendance increased due to the presence of new latrines and water storage
